My Trip to London Was a Whirlwind

Three weeks ago, I went on a trip to London. While most people go to London for anywhere from four day to two weeks, I was only in London for two and a half days. If you are wondering why I would go to London and stay for such a short amount of time, it was because I went there on a business trip. In the past, if I went on a business trip to a place like London, my company would have given me at least one extra day to stay and enjoy myself. However, now that the economy has taken a turn for the worse, my company has been forced to cut all unnecessary expenses, which includes personal days during a business trip. While this new policy would upset some people, I would much rather continue to have a job than lose my job as a result of my company spending money on people’s personal days during business trips.

Not only was my trip short, but the reason that I said in the title of this post that it was a whirlwind was because I packed so much into my time in London. I literally had a meeting during every meal I ate in London, and in between those meals, I had a minimum of at least one additional meeting (if not two or three). While some people would have been really stressed by this schedule, I truly thrive when I am under pressure, so this kind of non-stop exprience was actually a perfect fit with my personality.
